Fire rips through Mountain View Avenue, 20 left homeless

Chaos swept through Mountain View Avenue this morning as a raging fire tore through three homes, leaving at least twenty people, including eight children, with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

The blaze erupted near the intersection of Mountain View Avenue and Deanery Road about 11:20 a.m. Residents raised the alarm and the fire department was alerted.

Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control before fully extinguishing the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
